1970 Tula AKM Build Range Session

I just received my 1970 Tula AKM build and wanted to take it out to the range to shoot it for the first time.  My friend Bill did an amazing job on this rifle.  This rifle is outstanding and so much fun to shoot.  It was sighted in when I got it so I was able to hit softball sized steel plates at 100 yards.  The original Soviet furniture on this rifle is what we base our "Russian Rust" finish on.  Check out this finish and more at our website.

Tula AKM build.

I just picked up my new Tula AKM build from my FFL. My friend Bill built this rifle for me. Most of the parts are 1970 Tula and I believe that the furniture is factory refurbished Izhmash. The barrel is a chrome lined Romanian.  He (as always) did an outstanding job on this rifle. I love the attention to detail and quality of this build.  I'll be sure to post a range report once I get a chance to take it out.

August 8th Movie

I have not seen this movie, just the clips.  The story has to do with a mother getting her son out of South Osetia during the Georgia-Russia conflict in 2008.  There is some nice footage of Russian weaponry.
